By Golly Molly Hot Springs

By Golly Molly Hot Springs โ€” also known as Molly’s Trolley โ€” is a pair of well-built rock pools in the Boise National Forest northeast of Cascade, Idaho, in the Warm Lake area and part of the greater Molly’s hot springs cluster. It comes with an honest caveat: despite the solid construction, there has historically been no actual soak here.

Pool Condition

Both pools are rock-walled with rock, dirt, and muck bottoms. The source, slightly uphill, splits into two outflows โ€” one feeding each pool โ€” and there simply isn’t enough flow to fill either pool to soaking depth. The water carries a slight sulfur odor, and there is no trail to the pools.

Seasonal Notes

The Forest Service Road providing access is not maintained during winter. Snowshoes or a snowmobile can still get you to the springs in the snowy months.

Camping

There is level camping about 0.3 miles south of the springs, down the Forest Service Road.
